Bethany Veterans Plaza
Project Status Update
We’re excited to share progress on the Veterans Plaza project, a community-driven initiative to honor our veterans and create a lasting space of reflection and pride.
In 2024, the project reached several key milestones, including hopes to secure a location on the Bethany City Hall grounds and finalizing construction drawings. Updated artist renderings will soon be available, giving the community a clear vision of the space we hope to create. With these steps complete, the project is now ready to be presented to various committees and the Bethany City Council for approval.
This initiative is entirely community-funded, community-designed, and community-driven. It reflects our shared commitment to honoring those who served and strengthening the bonds within our city.
As we move forward, we invite the community to stay engaged and support the effort in any way possible—whether through advocacy, spreading the word, or contributing to this meaningful project. Together, we can create a space that celebrates our veterans and serves as a lasting point of pride for Bethany.
Thank you for your continued support of this important project!
The Veteran's Plaza was designed by local sculptor, Scott Stearman, as a way to honor all members of our Armed Services. Southern Nazarene University has generously donated the northwest side of Donald Street and NW 39th Expressway (Route 66) for the placement of the memorial. Bethany Improvement Foundation is working to raise funds to make this wonderful tribute a reality.
Donations are being solicited and should be sent to Priscilla Cude, Treasurer, Bethany Improvement Foundation, P.O. Box 218, Bethany, OK 73008. Payable to Bethany Improvement Foundation, which is a 501-c-3 charitable contribution.
